PARTICIPANTS

Fourteen editions of FOLK INSPIRATIONS in Łódź in 2011-2024 gathered over 4,300 young artists and festival guests from 41 countries of the world: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ecuador, France, Greece, Georgia, Ghana, Spain, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Moldova, Palestine, Peru, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Vietnam and Italy.

For the 15th Jubilee edition of FOLK INSPIRATIONS we have invited young artists from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America – from 15 countries of the world.

Young artists: dance and vocal groups, soloists, photographers, fashion designers and professional artists – musicians, visual artists, photographers, actors and designers who draw inspiration from national traditions, folklore and ethnic culture constitute festival participants.

The festival is attended by both school children and young people under 30. Intercultural and regional education activities are directed to children and school youth from Łódź and Łódź voivoidship.

International youth exchange projects during the festival are implemented by informal groups and organized groups from partner institutions and organizations.

The festival will be attended by Polish and foreign volunteers, including people aged +50 – almost 100 people.

The festival audience is over 4,000 people every year – residents of Łódź and  Łódź voivoidship as well as tourists and active participants in artistic street activities.
