At Folk Inspirations we will once again see the Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble “Zhorzhyny” from Kyiv! The ensemble was formed in 2020 in Kyiv. It consists of young, energetic and extremely talented artists – winners of all-Ukrainian and international music competitions.
Despite their relatively short experience, “Zhorzhyny” quickly developed their own concert repertoire, including both vocal and instrumental pieces, and regularly performs on stages in Kyiv and abroad.
From the very beginning of its activity, the ensemble “Zhorzhyny” has regularly won prestigious awards at competitions and festivals in Ukraine and abroad. The very first performances brought them the highest laurels.
“Zhorzhyny” is also a regular participant in the Ukrainian television project “Music for Victory”, which supports the morale of society and soldiers in difficult times of war. The band has repeatedly participated in volunteer concerts organized for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, engaging artistically in patriotic and social activities.
The band’s repertoire is an impressive collection of over 160 songs – both traditional Ukrainian folk songs and original compositions. The vocal and instrumental arrangements they perform are full of emotion, passion and deep respect for the national musical heritage.
