During the Festival, on June 25, on the day of the Fair on Retkinia at the Youth Palace, an element of the festival program will be a unique action of painting (legal!) folk graffiti by young artists from the art studios of the Youth Palace. We present a handful of information about the preparations for it.
The graffiti will be created on large 100×70 cm canvases using classic techniques used in graffiti art, i.e. sprays and acrylic paints and stencils. From June 10, in the Studio Wyobraźni studio, participants of the action are working on the designs of works, especially lettering and colors. All works will visually refer to the jubilee 15th edition of the festival.
The main part of the action will take place on June 25, 2025 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the fenced area at the northern gable of the PM building – from the side of the street to Primary School No. 19. The audience will be able to watch how 7 works are created, which will then be presented at the exhibition opening in front of the PM at 19:00. 14.00
The authors of the works will be participants aged 12 to 15 from 2 art studios – STUDIA WYOBRAŹNI and the CERAMICS studio:
ZUZANNA GOŁĘBIOWSKA, ALISA KOROTKEVYCH, ADRIAN OLCZYK – Studio Wyobraźni,
FILIP SKALMIERSKI, MARLENA WITEK, HANNA SĘDKOWSKA – Ceramics studio.
The preparations and work of the young artists are led by the artist Ms. Magdalena Wojtyniak-Sacharz, who runs art classes at the Studio Wyobraźni.
