One year they took an active part in our festival and immediately charmed our hearts! The Folk Dance Ensemble “Pruszkowiacy“ was founded in Pruszków at the turn of 1978/1979. For 46 years of its activity, the Ensemble has given concerts in Poland and abroad, presenting folklore from several regions of Poland and has won numerous awards. The repertoire also includes Moldavian, Ukrainian and Georgian dances.
Since 2004, the Ensemble has been a Local Government Cultural Institution run by the Municipality of the City of Pruszków. The headquarters of “Pruszkowiacy” is located in the building of the Cultural Heritage Centre in Pruszków.
The Ensemble has 200 members from various age groups (from 6 years to adults) and conducts dance and singing classes for them, as well as as part of a children’s and youth band.
“Pruszkowiacy” are the organizers of an annual event called PDF – Pruszków Folklore Day, which takes place in Pruszków.
