We invite you to join the theatre competition organized as part of the 15th International Youth Festival “Folk Inspirations”! It’s a perfect occasion to present original performances, etudes, or stage forms inspired by folklore, tradition, and the cultures of different nations. The competition is open to theatre groups, movement theatres, and creators exploring experimental stage forms.
Various types of theatre presentations can be prepared for the Golden Boat 2025 competition:
• Visual theatre: visual narrative (animation, storytelling in a performance using objects, various puppets, masks, forms, fashion theatre performances), movement narrative (movement theatre, storytelling in a performance using pantomime, circus, street form and juggling)
• Live theatre: a dramatic or comedy performance, a musical.
• Off theatre: experimental performance.
• Dance theater.
We accept applications from theatre groups in four age categories: 10-14 years old, 15-18 years old, 19-26 years old, and over 26 years old.
The winners will be given Grand Prix and the Golden, Silver and Bronze Boats 2025 and diplomas.
The condition for participation in the competition is to submit the application form and read the competition regulations.
Applications are open until June 10, 2025. A detailed audition schedule will be announced by June 16, 2025.
