Media Center “Oko”

Since the first edition of the festival, our dear friends from the “OKO” Media Center in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine, have been with us. This passionate and irreplaceable photo and video team has been capturing every festival moment with heart and dedication for 14 years, preserving memories that last a lifetime.

The school-based “OKO” Media Center has been operating at the Gymnasium of Modern Technologies for nearly 30 years. It is run by students aged 12 to 17, who are deeply engaged in photography and filmmaking. The center is guided by Oleh Lifer, Deputy Director for Education and the coordinator of all media activities.

For 29 years, the gymnasium has actively participated in international educational and cultural cooperation. Its students have taken part in over 60 festivals and competitions both in Ukraine and abroad, representing their country in fields such as theater, music, dance, literature, visual arts, and media. They also have rich experience in collaborative photo and film projects with peers from around the world. These activities not only enhance their technical and artistic skills but also foster international friendships and promote cross-cultural cooperation.

“OKO” is committed to promoting Ukrainian culture and art, as well as developing cultural education. A special focus is placed on preserving regional traditions and building intercultural bridges.

With cameras and lenses always at the ready, the “OKO” team continues to follow every event, creating professional coverage that lets us relive the most beautiful moments of the festival.

We’re truly grateful to have them with us – thank you for your outstanding photo and video stories from each festival day!
