With great joy, we invite all residents of Łódź to a unique event full of color, sound, and tradition – the Retkinia Fair, which will take place on Wednesday, June 25th, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM! As part of the Folk Inspirations Festival, we have prepared a day full of emotions and unforgettable experiences. We’ll meet in the Osiedlowy Park, at the Youth Palace named after Julian Tuwim in Łódź (al. ks. kard. S. Wyszyńskiego 86), with the support of the Retkinia-Południe Housing Cooperative.
The festivities will kick off at 12:00 PM with the colorful Avenue of National Traditions, organized thanks to the dedication of teachers from Integration Primary School No. 67 named after Janusz Korczak and Primary School No. 19 named after Wanda Chotomska in Łódź. Festival stands will showcase the richness of cultures from around the world.
From 1:00 PM, we invite you to explore the Craft Zone, where, under the guidance of skilled artisans, you’ll be able to try your hand at pottery, wreath-making, embroidery, wickerwork, creating traditional Łowicz spiders, and sewing folk-style bags.
All day long, we’ll also enjoy the Folk Animation Market, full of traditional games and activities for both children and adults, face painting, temporary tattoos, and many other attractions prepared by enthusiastic volunteers.
At 2:00 PM, we’ll take a magical journey through art during the outdoor opening of a photography exhibition and folk graffiti in the “Behind the Fence” Gallery.
The grand finale of the day will be the Folk Ring, starting at 3:00 PM – an energetic concert where festival participants will compete for the audience award!
Come, feel the rhythm of tradition, and spend this special day with us!
