Music brings people together across borders – and this choir is a prime example of that! The Multicultural Choir “Jednym Głosem” was established in Krakow in August 2022 – this is where the fates of the members of the Multicultural Choir Jedno Głosem – people from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia and Ukraine – intertwine. Various reasons brought them to the capital of Małopolska, but one – common – to the choir: the joy of sharing singing with others.
The choir is based on the principles of equality and openness to others. Jedno Głosem sings in many languages and musical styles, discovering, with the diversity of vocalism in the world, the unifying power of common singing.
The wide repertoire includes pop, jazz, gospel and traditional music, performed in many languages, including English, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.
2024 was rich in large projects: Concert First there was a song Podgórze Culture Center, Krakow; Performance during La Biennale Polish Pavilion, Venice; International Choir Competition Seghizzi Gorizia; Performance With a Song Across Europe Pinokkio Theatre, Łódź.
The conductor of the ensemble is Stanislav Klian – MA in contemporary culture management, choirmaster, ethnomusicologist and singing teacher, has extensive experience in artistic work in Europe.
His initiatives also include the Comunanza project (2022), workshops on folk dance and singing for residents of Tursi (Italy, 2023) and Scalei (Italy, 2024). In 2021, Stanislav Klian produced a musical in Minsk entitled Such Love.
